What Kakobuy publicly says it does
Kakobuy describes itself as a platform providing purchasing, freight-forwarding, quality-inspection and storage services. Its public service flow begins with a user-selected listing rather than Kakobuy choosing the product. Once the seller sends the item to the warehouse, the warehouse record becomes the place to check the received item and prepare a later international parcel.
The publicly indexed delivery guidance says users submit a parcel waybill from “User Center” and “My Warehouse,” enter the shipping address, choose a logistics method and settle the international freight. That sequence matters: the product payment and the international shipment are separate decisions, and a product reaching the warehouse is not the same as the parcel being ready for export.
- Purchase or forward the user-selected item.
- Wait for domestic delivery to the warehouse.
- Review the warehouse record and visible inspection evidence.
- Resolve eligible after-sales issues before parcel submission.
- Choose a route and pay international freight for the final parcel.
What a useful QC review can—and cannot—answer
A useful QC review starts with identity: item type, colour, size, quantity and model. It then moves to visible condition, measurements, construction and obvious damage. This order avoids spending time on stitching or print placement before confirming that the warehouse images belong to the right order.
Kakobuy’s publicly indexed inspection information places limits on inspection. For household appliances, digital products and other electronics, it says inspection does not include verifying authenticity, function or quality. The same principle applies more broadly: a photograph cannot prove long-term durability, fibre composition, waterproofing, battery safety or legality. QC is a visible-evidence filter, not a laboratory test or an authenticity certificate.
Do not confuse item QC photos with package photos
Kakobuy’s public help entry for its package-photo service says the service provides three package photographs before dispatch. Those images document the packed parcel. They are not a replacement for the product-level warehouse images used to check colour, size, shape or visible defects before consolidation.
Kakobuy also published a notice on May 10, 2026 acknowledging abnormal displays, incorrect images and temporarily unavailable QC images affecting some products. If the photographs do not match the order, stop the review and ask for correction. A detailed inspection of the wrong image creates false confidence rather than useful evidence.
- Product QC: inspect the item and ordered variant.
- Package photos: inspect the packed parcel before dispatch.
- Wrong or missing image: resolve the identity problem first.
Keep the 100-day and five-day clocks separate
Kakobuy’s inspection-and-storage information currently mentions 100 days of free storage. Its separate five-day return/exchange guarantee concerns eligible items offered by participating third-party sellers. These are different clocks. A long warehouse-storage allowance does not keep a seller return open for the same period.
The safest routine is to review an item as soon as it enters the warehouse, record the visible deadline shown for that order and act while the relevant option is available. Kakobuy’s service-fee summary also separates item cost—product price plus domestic shipping—from international freight, which it says is calculated by weight, shipping method and destination. That is why this guide does not publish one universal shipping price.
